Senior Analyst, Corporate Development - Strategy
Kuala Lumpur • Business • PermanentThis Senior Analyst role in Corporate Development will engage and coordinate across functions and levels within its capacity. The key stakeholders include internal and external entities for reporting, including MOSTI, MOF, and other ministries when required. This role will require a combination of strategic thinking, analytical skills, project coordination, and good communication abilities.
Overall, the Senior Analyst will support the Senior Management of Corporate Development through strategic analysis, market knowledge, research, and project management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Information System, Finance or Economics, or other relevant disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in corporate restructuring with some experience in corporate transformation/ restructuring, M&A or integration processes, e.g. market scans, building of business cases, post-merger integration, etc.
- Familiar with business analytical tools or methodology, e.g. Strategy Map, Business Model Canvas will be an added advantage.
- Able to work with recent technological applications related to daily tasks.
- Possesses the following skills:
- Technical and analytical research skills for developing strategic analyses
- Microsoft Office primarily Excel and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
Corporate Development
- Assist in the identification and evaluation of high impact opportunities (e.g.potential investment, partnerships, joint ventures, strategic initiatives, etc.) to optimise opportunities for MRANTI’s growth.
- Assist in shaping strategic direction on business intelligence, key industry trends and forecast models to support efforts in exploring new markets, products/services, and customer segments.
Strategic Orientation
- Assist in generating a strategic plan that integrates numerous business and corporate development issues, functions and resources for effective action.
- Support the identification of potential strategic partners, alliances and relationships to expand core offerings to MRANTI.
Communication
- Assist the development and direct implementation of strategies/initiatives related to corporate development, involve and inform the right stakeholders, and communicate proactively with the leadership team about progress and challenges.
Industry Knowledge
- Assist in developing significant in-depth insight to identify potentially lucrative opportunities in targeted industry/market/technology segments vital to the success of MRANTI.
- Able to anticipate, capitalise on and possibly to drive changes in the market.
Result Orientation
- Support liaison efforts with members of staff to ensure top level client experience in all cases of client interactions from follow up to delivery and needs assessment.
Collaboration & Influence
- Assist to develop networks towards sourcing for new clients.
- Support efforts to nurture broad networks of alliances with internal and external stakeholders to exchange knowledge and information about learning and change in support of change initiatives in the industry.
People and Organisation Development
- Aid in the identification and development of resources relevant to corporate development goals.
- Support in the oversight of the organisational effectiveness, transformation execution management, and leadership development of the organisation towards improving the core competency of MRANTI.
- Coordinating a multitude of internal teams across various stages of the process.
